Two Easy Ways to Support K-State
The Most Popular Estate Gifts
Thanks to generous supporters in years past who had the foresight to make gifts for the future, K-State can continue to adapt and thrive. Because of legacy donors, we can confidently plan for the challenges the next generation will face.
Creating your legacy through a gift in your estate plan is one of the most fulfilling things you can do.
Here are the two most popular options:
1. Gift In Your Will
How to: Share this simple sentence with your estate planning attorney:
"I give to the Kansas State University Foundation, a nonprofit corporation currently located at 1800 Kimball Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan, KS 66502-3373, or its successor thereto, ______________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose."
Tax ID number: 48-0667209
2. Beneficiary Designation
How to: Name the KSU Foundation as beneficiary of one of your accounts by contacting the administrator of the account or filling out a form online. The following accounts are eligible:
- Retirement account assets
- Savings account or certificate of deposit
- Life insurance policy
- Donor advised fund
Because of our tax-exempt status, we can put 100% of your gift toward our mission.
Thank you for your generosity!
